Rachel Stewart is a self-taught landscape, travel and adventure photographer based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. Her passion is to be with nature along with a love of art, adventure and exploring are what she thinks characterises her photography and forever fuels her to seek out and find the beauty created by the natural world.
Rachel is inspired by landscapes and loves to travel to new places, exploring the unknown and finding the all-important elements that connect humans with nature. Rachel’s use of long exposure photography in her images is a style that she loves and perhaps signifies her content as being her own. It is a method of photography she was intrigued by right from the beginning, and always kept her trying to perfect her art.
She loves being outdoors. As well as, to hike and be with the mountains, but you will also find Rachel surfing at the beach and spending her summers in the ocean. It is an added bonus for her that she gets to capture moments she experiences on the camera. Rachel feels like she has found her calling when she picked up a camera and is not sure she’ll ever put one down again.
