Ranger 3 GTX

I bought these to replace my Scarpa Deltas that had only lasted 3 years before the sole fell off compared to the usual 6+. I have worn them every day done the last 6 months and they look the same as the day I bought them. Superbly comfortable as I am an ICU nurse and am on my feet all shift. Then once home they do double duty in the paddock on my farm. Very happy.

Great boots!

For me, it's LOWA. A boot with no Compromise. Best home your feet can have for a hunt or everyday wear. In my humble opinion, the best boots there is.

Ranger III GTX review

I have wide feet, so the wide fit was a good decision. Very comfortable boots, great lace-up system. Haven't tried them in wet conditions yet. Price point on the high side for what you getting. will review again in a year or so.

Best boots I've ever worn.

I have worn Scarpa's for well over twenty years now, but I've been disappointed with them of late. I bought these boots (Ranger GTX 111 Wide) for the Overland Track in Tasmania. As we were going out of season, it was pretty certain it would snow and we would at least be walking in snow. Although I am a bushwalking guide, I have only ever walked in the tropics and have no experience in alpine regions. We had nature throw a fair bit at us and the track, in places was a fair bit rougher than I imagined. These boots did everything I needed from them and more. The grip on wet slippery rocks was excellent. The ability to lock the laces at the ankle was invaluable and much better than the other brands I've worn. Even though water, in the form of melted snow ran into my boots from the top and wet my feet, (my inexperience) my feet remained warm. I have done both of my ankles quite badly in years gone by and need good ankle support. Once again these provided boots went above and beyond. I experienced no rub spots or blisters and my feet were totally comfortable for the whole walk.

Great boots, would recommend them.
