LOWA Winter Socks

I have to buy the largest socks. Many large size socks of other brands, shrink. When this happens, I literally have no choices left apart from these Lowa Winters. I have had 4 pairs for a while now. Each pair has been washed many times now. Shrinkage is minimal. Just about to buy pair 5 and 6.

Unfortunately, unlike my LOWA boots, these are terrible socks. The problem with them is that they are tapered tight to fit like a glove against the toe, unlike normal hiking socks which are always reasonably loose around the toe. I have a wide foot and they are quite uncomfortable because they decompress the toe area. This is bad design concept for anyone with a wide foot or large foot and you should warn your customers of this. Also, they're not really thick winter socks as advertised. They're more a lightweight material which isn't that warm. Feel like I've wasted $50. Pete
